  1. I am thinking about builting a hemi with stage 5 heads and was just checking for pistons. And wonder if you have anything with a 4.500 bore and a stroke of 4.500 and a rod length from 6.860 to 7.100. This engine will see street use and only the track a few times.Do you have anything like this and do you have ring size in 16/16/3/16 or does it have to be the smaller ring? what about piston material do I get a choice or do I have to stay with the racing material that expands a lot when heated.Any info on this would be a great help thanks Terry.

    • Terry,
we don’t have any thing in stock for that bore size, but we can custom make them for you. depending on the rod you choose to use, you can use the 1/16 top and 2nd and a 3/16 oil. the standard rod 6.860 comes with a 1.031 pin and it would give you a 1.610 compression height with enough room to do any thing. You can still use a 7.100 long rod with a 1.094 pin but in this case you will have to use an oil rail support because the pin will be into the oil ring. for this particular combination, you have a choice of material, race or street material.

      hope this helps
